HiPP UK Anti-Reflux Formula FAQs: Gentle Support for Reflux Relief
What is Hipp UK Anti-Reflux formula?
HiPP UK Anti-Reflux is a specialist infant formula designed to help manage reflux and frequent spit-up in babies. It is thickened to help keep feeds down and can be used from birth as a sole source of nutrition or alongside solid foods after six months.
What makes Hipp Anti-Reflux different from regular formula?
HiPP Anti-Reflux is gently thickened with natural ingredients to reduce regurgitation. It contains full-lactose milk, essential fatty acids (like DHA), and important vitamins to support healthy development—all while being easy on your baby's tummy.
Who is Hipp Anti-Reflux formula suitable for?
This formula is ideal for babies who frequently spit up or show signs of mild reflux after feeding. It is not suitable for infants with lactose intolerance or cow’s milk protein allergy. Always consult your pediatrician before introducing a reflux-specific formula.
Does Hipp Anti-Reflux support healthy development of a baby?
Yes, HiPP Anti-Reflux provides complete nutrition from birth. It contains DHA (omega-3) for brain and eye development, plus vitamins A, C, and D to support immune function—meeting all EU infant nutrition regulations.
Is Hipp UK Anti-Reflux organic?
No, due to its specialized formulation, HiPP Anti-Reflux is not certified organic. However, it is made with high-quality, non-GMO ingredients and upholds HiPP’s strict standards for purity and safety.
Can Hipp UK Anti-Reflux be used long-term?
Yes, it can be used as a full source of nutrition from birth through 12 months. If your baby continues to show signs of reflux after that, follow your healthcare provider’s guidance for continued use or next steps.
How do I prepare Hipp UK Anti-Reflux formula?
Use freshly boiled water cooled to about 40–50°C and follow the instructions on the tin carefully. Due to the formula's thickened consistency, allow time for the powder to fully dissolve and be sure to shake the bottle well.
Are there any side effects or precautions?
HiPP Anti-Reflux is generally well tolerated, but it may take a few days for your baby to adjust. Always monitor for any unusual reactions or signs of allergy, and speak with your pediatrician if you have concerns.
How much formula does one can of Hipp UK Anti-Reflux make?
Each 800g tin prepares approximately 6.3 liters (213 fl oz) of formula, which is around 60–65 feeds, depending on your baby’s age and appetite.
Preparation for all powdered formulas:
Begin by using freshly boiled water for each of your baby's meals and allow it to cool down to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (50 °C) before mixing it with the formula.
Pour 2/3 of the required boiled water into a clean and sterilized bottle.
Utilize the scoop provided with your formula box (note that spoon sizes may vary by brand and lot). Add the appropriate number of leveled scoops of powder, with 1 leveled scoop per 1oz / 30ml of water.
Close the bottle with the nipple and cap, then vigorously shake until all the powder has completely dissolved.
Add the remaining water to the bottle and shake it thoroughly.
Cool the formula to drinking temperature (approximately 98 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 °C), and ALWAYS test the temperature before feeding to prevent scalding or burning your little one.
Important Information:
Only use the scoop provided in the pack.
Do not alter the strength of feeds by adding extra water/scoops, and refrain from adding anything else to the milk.
Always prepare formula freshly; avoid preparing in advance. Use it immediately and discard any leftovers at the end of the feed.
Avoid heating a bottle in a microwave, as it may result in hot spots that could cause scalding.
Consume all opened formula within 21 days. Never use formula beyond its expiration date. The expiration date on the formula box/tin follows the European standard: day/month/year.
Steer clear of storing formula in areas of high heat or humidity.
Stage PRE and Stage 1 are exluded from promotional prices or discounts. Prices may be lowered due to economies of scale in fulfilment, parcel handling and distribution.
